Job Description

PR & Media Specialist developing outreach strategies to increase brand visibility. Collaborating with marketing to secure media placements and enhance company reputation in financial services.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute public relations and media outreach strategies that increase brand visibility and credibility.
  • Write, edit, and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other PR materials.
  • Research, identify, and pitch compelling story ideas to journalists, editors, producers, and media outlets.
  • Secure media placements in financial publications, business news outlets, trade publications, podcasts, newsletters, and other relevant channels.
  • Coordinate podcast interviews, media interviews, speaking engagements, and other thought leadership opportunities for company executives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, podcast hosts, and media contacts.
  • Develop and maintain media lists and outreach databases.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify newsworthy company announcements, product launches, and industry insights.
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on PR campaign performance and brand exposure.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor coverage, and emerging media opportunities.
  • Ensure all public-facing communications align with the company's messaging, branding, and compliance requirements.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in public relations, media relations, corporate communications, or a similar role.
  • Proven success securing media coverage through strategic outreach and relationship building.
  • Experience pitching stories to financial, business, or professional publications.
  • Existing relationships with journalists, editors, producers, or media outlets are highly preferred.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience writing and distributing press releases.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
