Job Description

Program Coordinator supporting TED, a global nonprofit spreading ideas through talks, conferences, and experiences. Managing audience research, databases, attendee communications, and premium event support.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct audience curation research and administrative support for TED conferences and community programs
  • Maintain and organize internal Airtable databases for audience curation programs
  • Support conference and event communications for key TED community groups, including list management and drafting and sending invitations
  • Provide premium email customer support to event attendees, including high-profile guests and their representatives
  • Escalate sensitive issues and unusual requests to team leadership
  • Assist with administrative and communications tasks for the Audience Development and Community team

Requirements:

  • Degree (preferred) or diploma in communications, business administration, or similar experience
  • 2+ years of experience in research, administrative support, coordination, and/or communications roles
  • Prior events experience is an asset
  • Comfortable with databases and tools such as Airtable, Google Workspace, and Zendesk or similar
  • Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems
  • AI experience is a plus
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects with competing deadlines, re-prioritize, and solve problems independently
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage high email volume under time pressure and proactively drive work forward
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada
  • Ability to travel internationally is required
