Job Description
Project Coordinator coordinating cross-functional government projects for GDIT, a global technology and professional services company. Tracking deliverables, budgets, risks, and stakeholder check-ins.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate project work among cross-functional teams including scientists, communications specialists, data analysts, engineers, and IT professionals
- Ensure successful completion and delivery of all tasks in the assigned project
- Establish communication, collaboration, and coordination across cross-functional teams
- Maintain tracking tools covering project goals, current status, deliverable deadlines, and project budget
- Host and facilitate internal and client-facing check-in meetings
- Monitor potential project-level risks
- Work with the team to identify strategies to mitigate schedule or budget issues
- Support government customer projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science and 5+ years of related experience
- US Citizenship Required
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle fast-paced tasking
- Previous experience coordinating water utility projects highly desired
- Demonstrated experience working on teams involving a variety of expertise types
- Ability to engage with community representatives including local and state government officials, water utility professionals, and federal/regional clients
- Experience with deadline management, Microsoft Office, and the Waterfall Model
- Must be within 50 miles of a major metropolitan airport
- Willingness and ability to travel 50%–75% within the U.S.
