Job Description

Field-based Protein Science Reagent Sales Specialist achieving sales targets in life sciences sales. Covering key accounts and utilizing consultative selling methods in the Baltimore Maryland/DC area.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales targets through application of consultative selling methods.
  • Field sales located in the designated territory and visiting customers 4 days per week.
  • Maintain and develop incremental business in existing and new accounts.
  • Identify solutions for customers using industry and product knowledge proteins, antibodies, small molecules, cell culture reagents, and cell therapy products.
  • Plan and execute account management to accomplish goals and follow company vision.
  • Ensure that customers understand the value proposition, features & benefits, competitive advantages, and applications of all relevant products.
  • Daily use of CRM (Salesforce) for scheduling, forecasting, and detailed capture of customer information for all opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in biological/medical sciences or related with a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in life sciences sales required.
  • Advanced degrees may be considered in lieu of industry experience.
  • Thorough understanding of the scientific principles behind the use of Bio-Techne products.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Salesforce (CRM), as well as computer entry and/or typing skills are highly desired.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
