Job Description
Recruitment Coordinator at Braintrust Tutors managing recruitment and onboarding of tutors for online and in-person engagements. Supporting a mission-focused company transforming student access to tutoring services.
Responsibilities:
- Support the recruitment team in sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews and information sessions with tutor candidates
- Maintain up-to-date candidate records across tracking tools and platforms (e.g., Notion, HubSpot, and ATS systems)
- Communicate with tutor applicants throughout the hiring and onboarding process to ensure timely follow-up
- Assist with the onboarding process, including tracking and processing fingerprinting, background checks, and required school or district forms
- Monitor progress and flag any bottlenecks or outstanding items for resolution
- Help maintain compliance records and documentation for internal audits or district reporting
- Collaborate with the Recruiting and Staffing team and other departments to ensure smooth tutor onboarding and placement
- Provide support with special staffing projects, seasonal surges, and administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in recruiting coordination, HR support, or staffing administration (education or nonprofit preferred)
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, CRMs, or project management tools.
- Experience with BambooHR and Greenhouse is a must
- Comfort navigating compliance processes such as fingerprinting and background checks for educational entities
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with a team-first attitude
- Willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends to meet urgent program needs
