Job Description

Patient Recruitment Specialist recruiting and prescreening clinical-trial participants for K2 Medical Research. Scheduling study visits and maintaining patient databases remotely from Central Florida.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit patients for multiple studies by contacting referrals generated by marketing and outreach efforts
  • Administer prescreening surveys and phone screens to identify eligible patients
  • Schedule screening visits and initial visits at study facilities
  • Identify potentially eligible patients from the internal database
  • Build and develop the site's patient recruitment database
  • Identify and implement new patient recruitment methods
  • Contact new potential patients and maintain contact with database patients
  • Maintain an updated tracker of scheduled patients and visit outcomes
  • Follow up with patients as necessary
  • Understand assigned studies through protocols, resource materials, and training
  • Perform other assigned tasks

Requirements:

  • Must be based in Central Florida
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service-related position
  • Medical or health provider environment experience preferred
  • Minimum associate or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Background in psychology, health sciences, or a related field preferred
  • Relevant experience in patient recruitment or clinical research environments preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to complete training and follow study protocol
  • Flexibility and ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to interact with a diverse patient population
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
