Job Description
Regional ASC sales director driving strategic healthcare account growth for McKesson Medical-Surgical. Expanding market share, retaining complex healthcare accounts, and delivering integrated solutions across the South Central region.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute growth strategies for large ambulatory surgery center customers and strategic accounts
- Build comprehensive account plans identifying growth opportunities, stakeholder relationships, competitive positioning, and resource requirements
- Lead contract discussions and negotiations to support customer retention and revenue growth
- Establish trusted relationships with senior healthcare executives, clinical leaders, and purchasing stakeholders
- Improve customer satisfaction, retention, and account performance through proactive engagement and solution-based selling
- Align customer objectives with McKesson's products, services, and technology capabilities
- Identify opportunities to increase sales penetration across existing ASC customers
- Partner with internal teams to develop integrated solutions addressing customer needs and business goals
- Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments to inform account strategies
- Work with manufacturers and vendor partners to improve product utilization, compliance, and profitability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-wide solutions and exceptional customer experiences
- Share market intelligence and best practices to support organizational growth initiatives
- Support customers throughout the South Central region
- Travel more than 50%, including air and automobile travel, and visit customer locations within the assigned territory
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Typically 7+ years of healthcare sales experience, including direct experience selling to Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC), surgery centers, or strategic healthcare accounts
- Experience managing and growing large healthcare accounts or national accounts
- Experience negotiating contracts and developing account growth strategies
- Proven success selling solutions and building relationships with executive-level decision makers
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Experience within healthcare distribution, medical supplies, medical devices, healthcare services, or healthcare supply chain environments
- Knowledge of Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) and their impact on healthcare purchasing decisions
- Experience supporting enterprise-level customers with complex, multi-site operations
- Strong understanding of healthcare market dynamics, reimbursement trends, and ASC business models
- Experience presenting value-based solutions and articulating financial and operational ROI
- Familiarity with healthcare technology platforms, customer connectivity solutions, and data-driven sales strategies
- Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills
- Ability to travel independently and frequently visit customer locations within the assigned territory
- Currently authorized to work in the United States full-time without employer support or sponsorship now or in the future
