Job Description
Regional Maintenance Manager improving maintenance execution across JLL-supported distribution centers. Coaching site leaders, advancing reliability, safety, KPI performance, and operational standards across the U.S. and Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Deploy across the network to assess gaps, drive corrective action, restore performance to KPI targets, and leave clear improvement plans
- Evaluate site condition, maintenance execution, and team capability
- Establish, teach, and enforce maintenance execution standards
- Conduct Health Check audits and Quality Assurance reviews
- Provide Fulfillment Center General Managers visibility into maintenance conduct
- Mentor and coach Senior Maintenance Managers, Maintenance Managers, Area Maintenance Managers, and site teams
- Identify leadership gaps and build individualized development plans
- Teach budgeting, workforce management, KPI interpretation, and escalation processes
- Create talent pipelines within sites
- Standardize maintenance work methods, improve reliability, document processes, and train teams
- Develop and implement reliability plans to increase facility uptime
- Provide expertise in Material Handling Equipment, Industrial Automation, and Robotics systems
- Analyze operational data and metrics, diagnose root causes, and drive continuous improvement
- Advise senior leadership on equipment end-of-life issues using ROI and analytical techniques
- Build and reinforce proactive safety culture and ensure 100% safety training compliance
- Monitor, audit, and enforce safe work practices and support training drills
- Build relationships with client-side and on-account safety program managers
- Develop relationships with site Operations leaders, Regional Operations Managers, and Program Managers
- Partner with JLL leaders and Finance on stewardship of client funds
- Achieve or exceed KPI performance and communicate results in weekly business reviews and reporting
- Ensure labor and PRM budgets, overtime adherence, purchase-order creation, and invoice reconciliation compliance
- Network with other Regional Maintenance Managers to ensure consistent program deployment and execution
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 6+ years managing employees and performance, including salaried leaders
- Prior regional or multi-site maintenance leadership experience managing 80+ employees
- Proven record leading change, accelerating team development, and improving performance across multiple sites
- Functional knowledge of Material Handling Equipment systems, maintenance best practices, and 24/7 logistics environments
- Willingness to travel 70–80% and deploy on short notice to sites across North America
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and influencing skills
- Experience in reliability-centered maintenance and preventive/predictive strategies
- Proficiency in data analysis and translating metrics into coaching and site-level decisions
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, standardized work, and cost/benefit analysis
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project, and CMMS platforms
- MBA, Master's degree, or Six Sigma Black Belt a plus
- Professional engineering registration a plus
- Ability to perform frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, standing, and walking
- Ability to lift parts and tools averaging 20 lbs, occasionally up to 49 lbs
- Ability to work in small spaces and conditions involving dust, fumes, temperature extremes, noise, vibration, and uneven or wet surfaces
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
