Job Description
Regional Sales Manager leading biologics sales across the South Central U.S. for Orthofix, a global spine and orthopedics medical device company. Managing distributors, surgeon relationships, training, and territory growth.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead Biologics business activities in a specific territory under the direction of the Biologics Regional Vice President
- Oversee distributor sales performance, sales force training, hospital and GPO relationships, pricing and promotions, surgeon relationships, and distribution optimization
- Promote the on-label use of the Biologics portfolio to physicians and healthcare providers in clinic, office, and OR settings
- Serve as Orthofix’s frontline Biologics specialist to distributors, surgeons, hospitals, and industry contacts
- Continually develop technical and selling skills
- Demonstrate technical knowledge of the Orthofix biologics portfolio and bone graft substitute market
- Execute directions and fulfill requests from the BRVP
- Call on physician offices and hospital accounts to promote and support Biologics sales
- Develop and implement business plans to achieve or exceed Biologics sales quotas
- Participate in workshops, trade shows, sales meetings, and company meetings
- Conduct educational programs for representatives and clinicians, including speaker events and in-office or hospital in-services
- Provide exceptional pre-sale and post-sale customer service
- Coordinate with internal and external staff, tissue bank partners, and team members to transition sales to the appropriate representative
- Attend and complete home-office and online training modules
- Maintain records in accordance with company policy
- Assist the BRVP with distribution optimization and business planning
- Travel approximately 80% within the territory by plane, car, and other means
Requirements:
- Candidates must live near a major airport within the geography: AZ, NM, CO, WY, NE, SD, ND, MN
- At least 3 year medical sales experience with documented success
- Accredited sales training preferred
- A bachelor's degree preferred
- Ability to articulate, depth of thought, good judgment and decision making
- Proven ability to present to individuals or larger groups
- Exceptional technical competence regarding product knowledge and use
- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple activities
- Proven ability to effectively sell in a changing environment
- Open to coaching, ongoing development, and constructive criticism
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Sufficient computer skills to communicate through and present material using computer-based applications, including email and PowerPoint
- Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required when traveling by car
