Job Description
Sales Manager selling specialty chemical additives through technical project selling across Munzing’s Mid-Atlantic territory. Managing customers, negotiations, and growth across coatings, adhesives, inks, and construction markets.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect new markets and customers
- Close deals
- Follow up with urgency and responsiveness
- Negotiate effectively
- Sell value through technical project selling of specialty chemical additives
- Provide customers with product/services information to fulfill their needs and ensure customer satisfaction
- Manage a current territory with $3–5MM size
- Develop short- to mid-term business potential of $1–2MM within 1–3 years
- Provide guidance to customers
- Serve as Sales Manager for Munzing’s sales force in the Mid-Atlantic region
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree – Technical Degree, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering highly preferred
- Minimum 5 years Direct Territory Sales experience
- Preferred is candidate also has 3-5 years’ lab experience in formulations or application testing
- Chemical Industry experience required; Performance Chemical experience is a plus
- Product-line experience preferred with Defoamers, Wetting Agents, Thickeners and Dispersants, Wax Dispersions/Micronized Waxes, and Powder Additives for Construction
- Experience serving Coatings, Adhesives, Inks, and Building and Construction markets
- Must live in the Mid-Atlantic region (Preferred Philadelphia, PA area)
- Travel 60% in the field (3 out of 5 days visiting customers, up to two weeks a month overnight travel)
- Ability to close deals
- Excellence in negotiating
