Job Description
Sales Specialist for ABB engaging with customers on low-voltage systems and developing large-scale projects, including industrial and energy sector projects.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key contact in the German sales team for MNS low-voltage systems, acting as the primary interface for selected strategic accounts
- Identify and develop large-scale projects (e.g., data centers, semiconductor industry, HVDC grid connections, chemical, oil & gas sectors including hydrogen production)
- Responsible for design and expansion of existing customer relationships
- Monitor competitor activity and market developments
- Develop account plans and plan/execute campaigns to increase order intake
- Present the MNS low-voltage switchgear portfolio to customers and represent the company at trade fairs and events
- Independently manage commercial and technical contract negotiations with relevant internal departments and external suppliers
- Lead project development and oversight through to contract award, particularly following tender submission
- Coordinate nationally and internationally and understand clients’ award and decision-making processes
- Advise customers on selecting optimal technology in collaboration with appropriate internal departments and suppliers
Requirements:
- Degree in a technical discipline or industrial engineering — ideally electrical engineering or a related technical qualification
- Several years’ experience in selling low-voltage switchgear systems
- Strong understanding of commercial contract matters
- Passion for technical topics and attention to detail, combined with strong customer and results orientation
- Professional use of digital communication tools (video conferencing, virtual meetings, chat platforms, etc.) for customer interaction
- Proficient with common MS Office applications and CRM software (Salesforce)
- Fluent German (C2 or native level required) and fluent English, both written and spoken
- Willingness to travel within Germany and to customers and key suppliers in Poland and the Czech Republic
