Job Description

SBA Inside Sales Manager leading high-volume teams across SBA and small-business lending at Fifth Third Bank. Driving sales execution, application quality, compliance, and pipeline throughput.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead part of an Inside Sales organization responsible for a $1.3B annual production run rate across healthcare, SBA, and Small Business lending
  • Provide tactical leadership for a multi-layer Inside Sales team, including Team Leads and individual contributors
  • Ensure consistent daily throughput, application quality, underwriting workflow adherence, SLA adherence, queue management, and capacity alignment
  • Translate division-level productivity strategies into team plans covering call cadence, funnel management, and quality-control checkpoints
  • Oversee the end-to-end sales lifecycle from lead engagement through accepted proposal
  • Monitor Reg B timeliness, application aging, pipeline accuracy, and documentation requirements
  • Coordinate with Credit and Closing partners to resolve bottlenecks and ensure applications meet established SLAs
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and skill development for Team Leads
  • Develop emerging leaders and support succession readiness
  • Escalate operational exceptions and long-term leadership bench needs to senior leaders and the Director of Inside Sales

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years management experience including successful team leadership and development in a sales environment preferred
  • Experience leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced SBA lending environment
  • Deep working knowledge of SBA 7(a), 504, and Express loan programs
  • Ability to adapt quickly, manage teams through organizational change, and build scalable closing processes in high-growth environments
  • Demonstrated proficiency in SBA SOP guidelines, deal structuring, and pipeline management
  • Experience leading multi-layer sales teams or equivalent leadership responsibility in a fast-cycle, production-oriented environment preferred
  • Proven ability to coach and direct a team scope of sales abilities and enhance customer experience
  • Proficiency in Excel and Business Objects
  • Ability to comply with state and federal regulations, Reg B timeframes, application documentation standards, and defined underwriting workflows
