Job Description
Category Analyst reporting to the TBG Canada Head of Commercial. Manage Wal-Mart analytics and support commercial strategies for Tropicana Brands Group.
Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Tropicana Brands Group (TBG) Canada Head of Commercial & French Operations
- Responsible for standing up Wal-Mart Category Analytics in Canada
- Support Commercial Team analytics
- Act as the single point category advisor for Wal-Mart Canada business
- Establish, prepare and advise Wal-Mart quarterly business reviews
- Provide planogram recommendations
- Manage Wal-Mart Canada Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment
- Work with the Senior Category Manager to update, analyze, monitor and report on performance
- Provide deep diving pricing analytics/scenarios using the Buynomics platform
- Support innovation launch and tracking
- Serve on projects targeting improvement opportunities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field
- At least three years of relevant experience in category management, intelligence analysis, sales or a similar field
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of business intelligence software (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Nielsen IQ)
- Experience in CPG or related industry preferred
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual, with knowledge of the Quebec market preferred
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills
- Comfortable working with large datasets and handling complex information
