Job Description

Senior Creative Design Manager leading brand, paid, and lifecycle marketing creative at H&R Block. Driving acquisition, conversion, and retention through data-informed design.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creative strategy, design vision, and execution across brand, organic, and paid media marketing channels
  • Manage and develop a team of designers through coaching, performance management, mentorship, and career development
  • Partner with Performance Marketing and GTM leaders to create high-performing creative supporting acquisition, conversion, retention, and revenue goals
  • Oversee creative assets across paid social, display, video, search companion creative, email, and other digital marketing channels
  • Establish and maintain creative standards, workflows, and best practices
  • Champion testing and optimization programs using customer insights, analytics, and performance data
  • Collaborate with Content Strategy, Brand, Analytics, Customer Experience, and Marketing stakeholders
  • Ensure creative assets align with brand guidelines and channel-specific performance objectives
  • Monitor industry trends, platform innovations, and emerging creative best practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in creative design, performance marketing creative, digital marketing, email design, or related disciplines
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience, including managing and developing creative teams
  • Demonstrated experience leading creative strategy and execution for paid media, performance marketing, and lifecycle marketing programs
  • Strong understanding of paid social, display, digital advertising, email marketing, and customer journey best practices
  • Experience leveraging analytics, testing results, and customer insights to optimize creative performance
  • Proven ability to balance brand consistency with conversion-focused creative objectives
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills within a matrixed organization
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and creative storytelling abilities
  • Proficiency with modern creative and design tools, including Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and related collaboration platforms
  • Experience managing agency partners, external vendors, and creative production workflows preferred
