Job Description

Gartner analyst advising Chief Audit Executives through audit-function research, insights, and strategy guidance. Creating actionable content, presentations, and client recommendations for enterprise leaders.

Responsibilities:

  • Create innovative, thought-provoking, and highly leveraged must-have insights content
  • Develop new insights and ideas through thought leadership and offer compelling, actionable approaches to client needs
  • Analyze client barriers and needs, reframe thinking, and drive strategy forward
  • Establish insights positions across a team of analysts
  • Bring independent insights to Gartner leaders to shape research agendas
  • Research, analyze, and predict market trends and shifts
  • Provide actionable advice to clients and prospects through virtual or face-to-face interactions
  • Create and deliver presentation materials for Gartner events, conferences, and client briefings
  • Support BTI and Sales by serving as the voice of the market and driving client engagement
  • Conduct high-quality and timely content peer reviews
  • Represent Gartner insights, methodology, and strategy as an industry expert
  • Participate in innovation, ideation, research discussions, and collaboration with peers
  • Identify research process improvements and develop new processes
  • Mentor and coach junior team members
  • Help clients engage regularly with Gartner insights and interactions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; graduate degree preferred
  • 12+ years of relevant field or industry experience
  • Experience with and deep knowledge of the internal audit leader or Chief Audit Executive role
  • In-depth understanding of the Audit function and adjacent functions such as Compliance, Legal, and Risk
  • Strong experience in audit professional practices, including quality assurance, process improvement, audit staff training, and liaison with external auditors, regulators, and assurance providers
  • Executive presence and ability to establish credibility with executives and stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent research and writing ability
  • Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical, and presentation skills
  • Ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions
  • Proficiency in analyzing and synthesizing data and applying patterns and frameworks
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts concisely
  • Subject matter expertise and comfort presenting at large- and small-scale speaking engagements
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Deep knowledge of the global and competitive landscape within the subject area
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams in a multicultural global environment
  • Learning agility and ability to navigate highly matrixed environments
  • Ability to represent Gartner's research methodology and strategies effectively at all levels
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%, where applicable
  • Preferred: experience leading audit strategy development and execution
  • Preferred: experience designing and updating audit methodologies, policies, and procedures or integrating new technologies into audit processes
  • Financial Services and Banking industry experience is a plus
