Job Description
Senior Director Analyst guiding B2B CMOs in developing advertising strategies and marketing functions. Leading the Insights team with actionable insights and high-impact market analysis for optimal business impact.
Responsibilities:
- Create innovative, stimulating, high-impact content that delivers must-have insights
- Develop new ideas and perspectives through thought leadership, and propose concrete, actionable approaches that accelerate clients’ ability to act
- Conduct deep analyses to identify the root causes of client obstacles or needs
- Provide thought leadership to establish Insight positions within an analyst team
- Research, analyze, and anticipate market trends and developments to deliver actionable analysis
- Provide practical, tailored advice to clients and prospects, in person or virtually
- Create and deliver high-value presentations at Gartner events, industry and professional conferences, and client briefings
- Deliver high-quality, timely content assessments
- Build credibility as an industry expert representing Gartner’s analysis, methodology, and strategy
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred
- More than 12 years of relevant experience in the field or industry
- Experience as a CMO or senior marketing leader for B2B companies, either at the corporate level or for a large business unit, or equivalent experience in an advertising agency
- Deep understanding of the challenges faced by enterprise marketing leaders and the business-impact drivers
- Extensive experience developing and executing media strategies, including channel selection and audience validation
- Strong organizational skills; ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality results
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Excellent written and spoken French, strong analytical and presentation skills; ability to engage clients
- Excellent communication skills – able to explain complex concepts concisely and clearly
- Domain expertise and comfort presenting at events of all sizes
- Strong business acumen and financial literacy
- Thorough knowledge of the global and competitive landscape in the domain, as well as market dynamics
- Ability to work independently while being motivated to collaborate with and support teammates
- Learning agility and ease working in complex matrixed environments
- Ability to effectively represent Gartner’s research methodology and strategies at all levels
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time (as needed)
