Job Description

Marketing Strategy Intern supporting Active Minds' mission of changing the culture around mental health through strategic marketing initiatives. Collaborating with the Marketing team to analyze metrics and drive impactful campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • As a crucial part of the Marketing and Communications team, the Marketing Strategy Intern will support the team in developing data-driven, strategic marketing plans leveraging audience data and insights.
  • In this role, you will analyze key marketing metrics and trends to uncover insights that directly shape impactful brand campaigns.
  • Working collaboratively with the broader team, you will help build marketing plans, craft strategic messages, assist with project management, and drive effective initiatives designed to increase awareness and boost attendance for Active Minds programming.
  • Learn how nonprofits analyze audience insights to develop data-driven marketing plans and targeted messaging.
  • Bring innovative ideas to life by supporting message creation and campaign execution.
  • Work alongside passionate Active Minds staff members to execute projects and deepen your understanding of mental health advocacy.

Requirements:

  • Passion for Marketing: A strong interest or experience in marketing strategy, media buying, e-commerce, and event marketing.
  • Analytical Skills: Experience and interest in problem-solving, data analytics, market trends, and KPI reporting.
  • Audience Insight: Curiosity about audience behaviors and customer segmentation development.
  • Campaign & Project Management: Experience or familiarity with integrated campaign management and project coordination.
  • Strong Communication: Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills, with specific interest or experience in crafting brand messaging and advertising copy.
  • Technical Savvy: Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify).
  • Core Competencies: Detail-oriented, creative thinker, and a collaborative team player with a strong willingness to learn.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Google Workspace, Zoom, Dropbox, ClickUp, and Salesforce (a plus).
  • Eligibility Requirements: All applicants must be currently enrolled in, or have previously attended, a U.S. based college or university.
  • All applicants must be able to complete a work authorization (I-9) during onboarding.
  • All applicants must be able to complete the entirety of the internship program in the listed dates in the job description.
