Job Description

Senior Director leading project, tax equity, and corporate financings for Lydian Energy's U.S. solar and battery portfolio. Managing transactions, capital partners, and financing strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the VP of Capital Markets in developing and executing the company's financing and capital formation strategy
  • Lead financing initiatives across construction debt, term debt, tax equity, transferability, bridge facilities, warehouse structures, and corporate capital solutions
  • Evaluate emerging financing structures, market developments, and policy changes affecting renewable energy capital markets
  • Serve as transaction lead on complex financings, recapitalizations, asset sales, and strategic financing initiatives
  • Manage external advisors, lenders, investors, consultants, and legal counsel throughout transaction processes
  • Lead financing negotiations, due diligence, documentation, and closing activities
  • Develop and maintain senior relationships with banks, tax equity investors, private credit providers, infrastructure investors, and other financing counterparties
  • Represent Lydian in lender, investor, and industry meetings, conferences, and strategic discussions
  • Expand and cultivate the company's capital provider network
  • Mentor and develop junior members of the Capital Markets and Finance teams
  • Establish best practices, transaction processes, and analytical standards across financing
  • Support capital planning, financing strategy, portfolio optimization, and long-range capital needs assessment
  • Provide financing analyses and recommendations to executive leadership
  • Assist in preparing materials for financing partners, lenders, investors, and internal investment committees

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in U.S. renewable energy project finance, infrastructure finance, investment banking, private equity, structured finance, or related capital markets roles
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex project financings, tax equity transactions, portfolio financings, and M&A transactions
  • Ability to independently manage financing processes and external counterparties through closing
  • Strong network across banks, tax equity investors, infrastructure funds, and financing market participants
  • Strong understanding of M&A sell-side underwriting, structuring, and execution
  • Experience leading cross-functional transaction teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in project development, including interconnection process, permitting, project financing structures, offtake contracts, and power marketing
  • Ability to mentor junior professionals and contribute to organizational development
  • Strong commercial judgment and ability to evaluate strategic financing alternatives
  • Executive-level presentation and communication skills with senior lenders, investors, and management teams
  • Advanced knowledge of tax partnership rules and modeling methodologies
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Finance, Business, Engineering, Math, Science, or another rigorously quantitative field
