Job Description

Senior technical services representative supporting hazardous-waste customers and industrial sales. Advising on transportation, disposal, compliance, account management, and team training for WM environmental solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Industrial Sales team to drive industrial and hazardous waste sales revenue growth
  • Provide customer service and support for internal and external customers
  • Consult with existing and potential customers on transportation and disposal options
  • Assist customers with testing parameters and completion of profiles, manifests, and forms
  • Process profiles, contracts, and credit requests
  • Schedule pickups and resolve billing inquiries and customer issues
  • Develop economic, practical, and customized customer solutions and proposals
  • Build and maintain customer relationships through account management and retention
  • Identify new waste stream opportunities and drive new opportunities through correspondence, email, and phone calls
  • Provide leads to account managers and program managers using WM sales management tools
  • Probe inbound customer calls to identify appropriate methods to close customers
  • Assist account managers with receivables and collections issues
  • Delegate data entry, manifest preparation, filing, and administrative tasks to Industrial Sales Coordinators
  • Train and mentor Technical Service Representatives and Industrial Sales Coordinators
  • Prepare and conduct training sessions for non-TSC employees
  • Supervise the Technical Service Center in the TSM’s absence
  • Monitor real-time contact handling performance and respond to service delivery issues
  • Lead team huddles and meetings
  • Serve as the floor subject matter expert
  • Perform special projects and other duties assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
  • 3 years industry experience (in addition to education requirement)
  • Applicable regulatory training
  • Prior experience as a West Coast Industrial Technical Services Representative at WM highly preferred
  • Ability to work Pacific Time hours based on business need
  • Must have, or be willing to obtain, a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if required for air travel or federal property access
