Job Description

Leading GE Vernova Hitachi’s nuclear configuration management organization. Governing product structures, PLM processes, compliance, and engineering resources across regulated programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Configuration Management organization responsible for product structure integrity and configuration control in a highly regulated nuclear environment
  • Manage U.S.-based CM resources, including budget and headcount planning, to support New Plant Projects, Nuclear Fuels, and Services commitments
  • Set organizational priorities, assign goals, and lead performance reviews and development checkpoints
  • Define and execute a multi-year CM vision aligned with ISO Systems Engineering, Product Line Engineering guidance, and modern ANSI-649C / NIRMA CM practices
  • Lead and mentor global and cross-functional resources across domestic and international programs
  • Balance resource loading across nuclear programs and projects with engineering leaders and project management
  • Oversee product structure, feature structure, and baseline management to maintain approved licensing and design bases
  • Lead CM process governance and continuous improvement
  • Support Nuclear’s Teamcenter PLM deployment and harmonize processes to meet NQA-1 and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B requirements
  • Partner with Systems Engineering, Discipline Engineering, Project Management, Licensing, and Quality
  • Deliver integrated, compliant design solutions and ensure as-built and as-designed alignment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering design, systems engineering, configuration management, or another highly regulated technical environment
  • Minimum 4 years of leadership experience within an engineering or technical organization
  • Strong knowledge of configuration management principles, including configuration identification, baseline management, change control, status accounting, and audit
  • Demonstrated commitment to nuclear safety culture and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
  • Demonstrated knowledge of nuclear regulatory and quality requirements, including 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, NQA-1, and 10 CFR Part 21
  • Experience with governance, development, tendering, and OTR execution processes within GE Vernova Hitachi or similar operating models
  • Expertise with CM and enterprise toolsets such as Enovia/3DEXPERIENCE, Teamcenter, SAP/Powermax, and standards management tools
  • CMII, CMPIC, or similar configuration management certification or formal professional training
  • Strong organizational, facilitation, and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate complex configuration topics to senior leadership and regulatory stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through digital transformation and process change in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment
  • Familiarity with CAD and ERP systems, including Autodesk Inventor and SAP/Powermax, as they relate to product structures, traceability, and configuration control
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information; applicable final offers are contingent on ability to obtain authorization from the U.S. Government
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
