Job Description

Senior partner relations investigator managing investigations on partner misconduct at Starbucks. Collaborate with various stakeholders to uphold compliance and a respectful culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage complex internal investigations related to potential partner misconduct, including, but not limited to, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation
  • Create and execute on investigation plans, find, review and analyze information, conduct interviews, prepare investigation reports and presentations, and maintain investigation records
  • Provide recommendations on remedial actions as a result of investigations that maintain a respectful culture and support the culture of compliance
  • Develop trust and rapport and influence business partners
  • Work independently and partner cross-functionally with various Business Units/Business Functions as needed to build trust and effectuate collaborative partnerships across the organization
  • Model respectful and empathetic behavior in the face of difficult and uncomfortable situations surrounding an investigation
  • Provide investigative consultation to help build capability to ensure consistency and quality of investigations across the organization - guiding & supporting cross-functional peers in investigations of lower risk matters
  • Conduct regular assessments on the potential causes of misconduct and recommend areas to be reviewed to prevent/minimize similar instances from occurring again

Requirements:

  • B.S., B.A. with at least 5 years of experience conducting legal/compliance investigations in a private sector/public sector environment
  • Experience conducting internal investigations including intake, determination if an investigation or referral is warranted, investigation, resolution, summary reports, and recommendations
  • Experience in providing assistance with the development of remedial measures of risk areas/gaps identified during investigations
  • Experience with and proficiency in database and case management systems and tools, fluency in MS Office Suite, and strong typing skills for notetaking
