Job Description

Senior AEC Recruiter sourcing Water, Transportation, and environmental engineering talent for Apex Companies. Managing full-cycle recruiting, interviews, offers, and candidate tracking nationwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full recruitment process, including collaborating with hiring managers to conduct intake meetings and assisting in drafting job descriptions with insights on compensation and market trends
  • Proactively source and recruit top-tier technical and professional talent in the engineering and environmental services sector nationwide
  • Screen resumes and conduct initial phone interviews, providing detailed written summaries for hiring managers
  • Coordinate and schedule candidate interviews with hiring teams while maintaining consistent communication with candidates, hiring managers, and other key stakeholders
  • Prepare and extend job offers, negotiating as necessary to secure successful hires
  • Ensure accurate tracking of candidate information and progress using the ATS and other tools
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience through regular follow-up and feedback
  • Collaborate closely with the Apex Recruiting Team to achieve hiring goals

Requirements:

  • Recent experience recruiting Transportation or Water/Wastewater, Drinking Water, and Stormwater Engineers; applicants without this experience will not be considered
  • 8+ years of experience recruiting Water/Wastewater Engineers, Drinking Water or Stormwater Engineers, related technical roles, or Transportation Land Development, Roads, or Traffic roles
  • Experience recruiting both Transportation and Water strongly preferred
  • Proven candidate sourcing, networking, and outreach skills
  • Well-established network of AEC professionals
  • Strong interviewing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in using software and computer systems
  • Self-starter mindset with ability to take ownership and deliver results
  • Adaptability and resilience in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Robust work ethic, positive attitude, and high personal and professional standards
