Job Description
Senior Software Engineer building scalable software for insurance technology company Snapsheet. Collaborate with engineering teams to create innovative solutions and mentor talent.
Responsibilities:
- Design the systems that users depend on every day
- Build and evolve Snapsheet Cloud, our flagship SaaS platform revolutionizing the insurance industry
- Collaborate with a skilled engineering team to ship high-impact features
- Design robust APIs and drive the scalability and performance initiatives that keep claims operations running smoothly
- Architect scalable solutions, mentor emerging talent, and collaborate across departments to solve complex problems for our global partners.
Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field
- 5+ years of full-stack web development experience
- Designing and building APIs
- Designing schemas and performant queries for relational databases
- Understanding of scalability challenges and performance of server-side code
- Prior professional experience using React
- Prior experience using Ruby on Rails is a plus
- Eagerness to learn from and work with a collaborative team
- Commitment to quality and passion for technology and creating cutting-edge solutions
- Ability to manage tasks and to contribute towards multiple initiatives during a sprint.
