Job Description
Solutions Architect designing secure digital banking platforms, integrations, and architecture standards. Advising stakeholders and leading technology strategy for a financial services organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and delivery of digital banking solutions
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and innovative technology architectures
- Define and document end-to-end architecture for mobile banking apps, online banking portals, and backend services
- Ensure solutions align with business goals, compliance standards, and industry best practices
- Gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Advise clients and internal teams on architectural decisions and technology strategy
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to scalability, performance, and security
- Lead selection of tools, platforms, and frameworks
- Design integration strategies for core banking systems, payment gateways, identity management solutions, and third-party APIs
- Ensure seamless integration across channels
- Define architectural principles, design patterns, and coding standards
- Monitor compliance with security, regulatory, and data privacy requirements, including PCI DSS and GDPR
- Build and maintain technology vendor relationships
- Perform project management and participate in strategic planning
- Provide guidance and subject matter expertise to less experienced technology roles
- Plan, schedule, assign, monitor, and direct team-member activities on technical and operations projects as needed
- Perform other assigned duties and participate in organizational activities
Requirements:
- College degree in Computer Sciences or a related field and at least five years of developed expertise in application analysis, systems development, systems design or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 years of experience with major technology platforms and a variety of technologies, including strong experience in software development and design techniques
- Experience with operational/technology strategic and architecture development, preferably within a financial services organization
- Working knowledge of project management and development approaches
- Strong working knowledge of the banking industry
- Strong technical skills with Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to establish and maintain credibility with internal and external customers
- Superior presentation skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and Outlook
- Knowledge of banking industry processes and supporting enterprise systems
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
- Ability to operate related equipment
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required
