Job Description

Senior Solutions Engineer advising customers on injection-molding solutions at Xometry, a digital manufacturing marketplace. Translating technical needs into business cases, quoting demonstrations, and complex project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead discovery conversations with Sales to uncover business and technical requirements and map them to Xometry solutions
  • Serve as the technical liaison between molding teams and customers
  • Consult with prospects and customers to identify appropriate technology applications and build the business case
  • Demonstrate Xometry capabilities, including its software quoting platform, to engineers and executives
  • Partner with product, sales, quoting, and engineering teams; provide customer insight and contribute to case studies and marketing collateral
  • Represent Xometry as an industry thought leader at events, webinars, and in the injection molding community
  • Serve as the internal expert on injection molding and related processes, including tooling, mold design, and process capability
  • Provide project management and oversight for complex opportunities

Requirements:

  • Genuine manufacturing and process background in injection molding, compression molding, overmolding, and insert molding; hands-on, floor-level experience strongly preferred
  • Outgoing communicator comfortable with technical discussions and executive presentations
  • Technical empathy and ability to translate between technical and business language
  • Consultative approach
  • Experience preparing and presenting technical solutions within business proposals
  • Self-motivated and comfortable managing multiple long-term projects with minimal oversight in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Engineering degree (Mechanical or Plastics preferred) or related technical degree
  • 5–7+ years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or technical field
  • Demonstrated project management and presentation skills
  • CAD and technical drawing experience
  • Expertise in areas such as New Product Development, Materials Science, Plastics Engineering, GD&T, Mold Design, ISO Certifications, PPAP, and Inspection
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including mastery of English
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%
