Job Description
ServiceNow Architect SME developing solutions for mission-critical government projects at GDIT. Leading architecture and ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices for ServiceNow.
Responsibilities:
- Designs, implements, governs, and maintains the overall architectural framework for ServiceNow solutions
- Oversee the deployment, administration, and maintenance of ServiceNow instances
- Act as a ServiceNow subject matter expert (SME) providing technical guidance and mentorship
- Create estimations on effort required to produce ServiceNow functionality
- Advise and oversee the software testing process
- Collaborate closely with system and software architects and product teams
- Identify potential risks and issues related to the solution
- Provide expert-level support for complex incidents
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation
- Serve as the technical advisor, overseeing all technical aspects of implementations
- Proactively ensure customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in ServiceNow architecture roles
- Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (or Associate’s degree plus 2 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s)
- Master’s degree will reduce the total experience requirement by 2 years
- Doctoral degree will reduce the total experience requirement by 3 years
- Extensive experience with ServiceNow architecture, development, and best practices
- Strong knowledge of the platform's core modules
- Deep proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, HTML, CSS, and AngularJS
- Prior hands-on work with ServiceNow or modern DevOps tooling
- Demonstrated ability to independently develop technical engineering roadmaps and architecture diagrams
