Job Description

ServiceNow Architect SME developing solutions for mission-critical government projects at GDIT. Leading architecture and ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices for ServiceNow.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, implements, governs, and maintains the overall architectural framework for ServiceNow solutions
  • Oversee the deployment, administration, and maintenance of ServiceNow instances
  • Act as a ServiceNow subject matter expert (SME) providing technical guidance and mentorship
  • Create estimations on effort required to produce ServiceNow functionality
  • Advise and oversee the software testing process
  • Collaborate closely with system and software architects and product teams
  • Identify potential risks and issues related to the solution
  • Provide expert-level support for complex incidents
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation
  • Serve as the technical advisor, overseeing all technical aspects of implementations
  • Proactively ensure customer satisfaction

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in ServiceNow architecture roles
  • Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (or Associate’s degree plus 2 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s)
  • Master’s degree will reduce the total experience requirement by 2 years
  • Doctoral degree will reduce the total experience requirement by 3 years
  • Extensive experience with ServiceNow architecture, development, and best practices
  • Strong knowledge of the platform's core modules
  • Deep proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, HTML, CSS, and AngularJS
  • Prior hands-on work with ServiceNow or modern DevOps tooling
  • Demonstrated ability to independently develop technical engineering roadmaps and architecture diagrams
