Job Description

Solutions Engineer supporting the U.S. go-to-market team at ALICE Technologies. Engaging in pre-sales technical role focused on solving planning and scheduling challenges for construction projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Account Executives to support qualified opportunities through the pre-sales cycle
  • Lead or co-lead technical discovery to understand prospect workflows, planning processes, constraints, and pain points
  • Deliver compelling, value-based product demonstrations tailored to customer use cases
  • Guide technical validations, workshops, and proof-of-value engagements
  • Review schedules and project data provided by prospects and use them to frame meaningful technical conversations
  • Help prospects understand how ALICE supports schedule optimization, scenario evaluation, and planning decision-making
  • Translate technical findings into business value for both practitioners and executive stakeholders
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success when needed
  • Capture field feedback and recurring product needs to help improve internal messaging and product direction
  • Help refine demo environments, technical assets, and repeatable SE best practices
  • Support internal enablement by helping AEs improve their technical fluency and demo confidence

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Solutions Engineering / Sales Engineering in B2B SaaS
  • Construction planning, scheduling, project controls, or project management
  • Construction technology in a client-facing or technical role
  • Strong understanding of construction workflows and project delivery realities
  • Experience with scheduling and planning tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Asta Powerproject, or similar platforms
  • Ability to run consultative conversations and connect technical detail to customer value
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, especially when working from incomplete or ambiguous project data
  • Comfortable learning new software quickly and becoming a product expert
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-moving environment with high ownership.
