Job Description
Psychiatry Specialty Representative selling AbbVie’s neuroscience medicines to healthcare providers in Gainesville. Managing territory accounts, sales strategy, customer relationships, and field performance.
Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field
- Manage assigned territory and targeted accounts
- Build customer relationships and solve customer needs to maximize sales performance
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives
- Create pre-call plans and conduct post-call evaluations
- Handle objections and gain calls to action during sales calls
- Serve customer needs and build trusted relationships
- Develop and execute call plans optimizing customer coverage and frequency
- Build knowledge of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease, products, clinical topics, and sales
- Share market intelligence with field, brand, and sales management teams
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with healthcare providers
- Identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates
- Operate within AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws and regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience
- At least five (5) years of experience required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, including three (3) or more years preferred within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry
- High school diploma/GED required when using the experience alternative
- In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge
- Strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools
- Strategic and critical thinking capabilities
- Proven track record of success in selling and solid presentation skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment
- English language proficiency verbally and in writing
- Ability to satisfy applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements
- Must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain required HCIR credentials
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test
- Must meet safe driving requirements
- Ability to drive a personal auto, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment
