Job Description

Subscription/Optimisation Manager responsible for optimizing full funnel performance for a media business. Working on subscriber journeys to enhance engagement and value throughout the subscription process.

Responsibilities:

  • Working cross functionally to deliver intuitive, high-converting subscriber journeys.
  • Ensuring the entire experience is flawless and supports long term reader engagement and sustainable journalism.
  • Setting up and optimising the product national, regional and vertical paywall strategy.
  • Owning the end-to-end lifecycle across Reach domains.
  • Overseeing integrations and managing logic, refunds and failed payments.
  • Co-managing the product backlog.
  • Building out new subscription tiers and shaping subscriber-only experiences to increase demand and capture more value.
  • Optimising conversion and paywall funnel to drive acquisitions.
  • Improving flows to deliver fantastic end-to-end user journeys.
  • Managing experiments and implementing test and learn workflows across multiple touch points.
  • Utilising pricing dynamics to deliver a pricing strategy that drives ARPU and lifetime value.

Requirements:

  • Innovative, experimental and data-driven individual with a deep understanding of subscriptions ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated history of successfully optimising subscription driven models, ideally within fast paced media environment.
  • Extensive experience of using subscription platforms and web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Knowledge of using the Piano Subscription platform and launching new subscription products into the market are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communicator and ability to work closely with other teams including designers, UX teams and senior stakeholders.
