Job Description
Technical Manager overseeing day-to-day technical operations at Cyberport facilities. Ensuring compliance with safety standards and mentoring technical staff.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day technical operations and preventive/corrective maintenance programs across Cyberport facilities.
- Ensure all building systems comply with local statutory regulations (e.g., EMSD, FSD, BO requirements), safety standards, and environmental sustainability targets (e.g., BEAM Plus, ISO 50001).
- Oversee the performance of outsourced service providers and contractors, ensuring SLAs are met and value is delivered.
- Collaborate with property management, leasing, and client experience teams to respond promptly to tenant technical requests and ensure high satisfaction.
- Manage capital and operational budgets related to technical services, including CAPEX planning for system upgrades and lifecycle replacements.
- Implement and optimize smart building technologies, IoT sensors, and digital platforms (e.g., CAFM, BMS dashboards) to enhance operational efficiency and predictive maintenance.
- Drive energy efficiency initiatives, monitor utility consumption, and support Cyberport’s net-zero and ESG commitments.
- Develop and maintain emergency response protocols for technical failures (e.g., power outages, HVAC disruptions, fire alarms).
- Ensure accurate documentation of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, equipment warranties, and compliance records.
- Mentor and develop on-site technical staff, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
- Professional registration or license (e.g., RPE, HKIE membership) preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in building operations or facility management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing technical teams in commercial, Grade A, or smart buildings.
- Proven experience in managing complex MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems and integrated building technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Hong Kong building codes, fire safety regulations, and utility requirements.
- Familiarity with property management systems, SBP platforms, and BMS (e.g., Siemens, Johnson Controls).
- Solid understanding of sustainability frameworks (e.g., BEAM Plus, LEED) and energy management practices.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is an advantage.
