Job Description

Technical Sales Manager focused on B2B sales in the solar energy sector across Southern Europe. Driving business growth and building customer relationships to meet sales targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively seeks and develops new business opportunities with direct and indirect channels through a variety of sales activities and tactics such as consultive selling, funnel management and share of wallet cross/up selling.
  • Demonstrates time & territory balance by developing and executing a plan to maximize time in the field with customers and prospects.
  • Stays on top of industry trends through collaboration with peers, industry publications, and industry conference attendance.
  • Negotiates and executes contracts and customer-specific project initiatives through various internal departments including Legal, Finance, Sales, Service and Customer Support.
  • Uses metrics, KPI, and forecasting to self-manage productivity and meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume.
  • Develops, nurtures, and understands health of customer opportunity funnel and openly works with leadership and sales operations to ensure best results.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of sales/commercial experience in the B2B-oriented solar energy industry, utility scale PV experience is a plus
  • BA or BSc degree in a management or science-related field such as Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent
  • B2 level language skills in English, other language skills are a plus
  • Demonstrated relational and presentation skills, including ability to communicate with people of various technical backgrounds.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the use of a CRM tool for funnel management and forecasting
  • Ability to travel ~ 50% of the time within the South-EU region with a valid driver's license
