Job Description
Technical Sales Representative supporting Cornerstone Building Brands’ metal building products. Training customers, troubleshooting software, and coordinating technical sales and installation support.
Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with builders, dealers, distributors, architects, developers, general contractors, and other key industry partners
- Support multiple sales channels including direct retail, distribution, dealer networks, and turnkey building providers
- Support multiple product lines and routes to market in a brand-agnostic environment
- Train customers on technology platforms, product and process details through the sales and building process
- Oversee video training and product manuals addressing onsite challenges and issues
- Help customers understand metal building systems, product applications, and installation processes
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across customer segments and markets
- Collaborate with customer service, operations, engineering, and sales leadership
- Assist customers with systems, processes, project coordination, and product selection
- Support business development initiatives expanding adoption of light gauge steel building solutions
- Provide customer service, resolve issues, and manage customer expectations
- Build customer credibility through communication, product knowledge, responsiveness, and relationship management
- Visit job sites for key first-time customers and installers to validate inventory management, structural compliance, and installation procedures
- Deploy to customer locations or tradeshows for onsite support as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 3 years equivalent experience in the Construction Industry
- 2 years of steel building design and/or erection experience
- Track record of developing a deep understanding of customer and market needs
- Self-starter with ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and work independently
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, CRM, and other ERP order softwares
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skill
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Occasional lifting of product samples, literature, or training materials up to 25 lbs
- Proactive team thinker and customer-centric
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
