Job Description
Vocational Case Manager providing vocational assessment and rehabilitation support for claimants at The Standard. Collaborating with employers and developing return-to-work plans to minimize disability claims.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as consultant to claims adjudicators utilizing vocational expertise and independent judgment
- Conduct comprehensive vocational assessments from file reviews and consultations with claims adjudicators
- Develop, document, implement and counsel claimants on return to work or retraining plans
- Collaborate with employers to retain or return employees to work
- Provide claim prevention services by working with employers to evaluate trends in disabilities
- Advise on educational programs for employee groups and recommend job site modifications
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in a related field - Required
- CRC (Certified Rehabilitation Counsellor) - Required
- 4 years of work experience in the vocational rehabilitation field
- Advanced knowledge of Vocational rehabilitation concepts and practices including job development and placement, and development of retraining programs
