Job Description

Zoetis account manager driving veterinary product sales across a California territory. Managing consultative sales, hospital relationships, territory plans, and medical education programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet overall sales objectives and quotas, including for key growth products, within the targeted geography
  • Launch new products and service offerings and generate new equipment leads
  • Demonstrate solution-selling capabilities
  • Build and demonstrate relevant technical knowledge, verbal fluency, and veterinary practice expertise
  • Build effective relationships with targeted hospitals and personnel and maintain and grow account relevance and access
  • Interact with customers in accordance with Zoetis promotional guidelines
  • Develop and execute territory business plans and resource allocation strategies
  • Implement Zoetis resources and follow up to maximize ROI
  • Meet field activity expectations, including sales calls and investment in medical education programs
  • Develop and execute account- and veterinarian-level call cycles
  • Collaborate professionally with Zoetis Petcare colleagues while meeting expectations for compliance, conduct, communication, administration, and teamwork

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) required
  • 3-10 years of documented and successful consultative sales experience
  • Success in previous roles including creatively finding opportunities or solving problems to drive sales performance
  • Ability to use analytics and insights to enhance decision-making and tactical execution
  • Follow-through and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage assigned expense budgets
  • Highly focused and results oriented, able to identify goals and priorities and resolve issues in initial stages
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a close team environment; self-starter
  • Animal Health experience and knowledge of small animal veterinary medicine
  • Willingness to accept and incorporate feedback
  • Verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and make thoughtful/fair decisions based on relevant information
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ability to learn Zoetis systems
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work some evenings as required
  • Must possess or obtain authorization to work in the US for Zoetis
