Job Description
Zoetis account manager driving veterinary product sales across a California territory. Managing consultative sales, hospital relationships, territory plans, and medical education programs.
Responsibilities:
- Meet overall sales objectives and quotas, including for key growth products, within the targeted geography
- Launch new products and service offerings and generate new equipment leads
- Demonstrate solution-selling capabilities
- Build and demonstrate relevant technical knowledge, verbal fluency, and veterinary practice expertise
- Build effective relationships with targeted hospitals and personnel and maintain and grow account relevance and access
- Interact with customers in accordance with Zoetis promotional guidelines
- Develop and execute territory business plans and resource allocation strategies
- Implement Zoetis resources and follow up to maximize ROI
- Meet field activity expectations, including sales calls and investment in medical education programs
- Develop and execute account- and veterinarian-level call cycles
- Collaborate professionally with Zoetis Petcare colleagues while meeting expectations for compliance, conduct, communication, administration, and teamwork
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) required
- 3-10 years of documented and successful consultative sales experience
- Success in previous roles including creatively finding opportunities or solving problems to drive sales performance
- Ability to use analytics and insights to enhance decision-making and tactical execution
- Follow-through and attention to detail
- Ability to manage assigned expense budgets
- Highly focused and results oriented, able to identify goals and priorities and resolve issues in initial stages
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a close team environment; self-starter
- Animal Health experience and knowledge of small animal veterinary medicine
- Willingness to accept and incorporate feedback
- Verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to exercise good judgment and make thoughtful/fair decisions based on relevant information
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ability to learn Zoetis systems
- Ability and willingness to travel and work some evenings as required
- Must possess or obtain authorization to work in the US for Zoetis
