Job Description

Accounting Associate managing bookkeeping and financial reporting for US-based clients. Communicating directly with clients to address inquiries and support operational needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate directly with clients via email and phone to address financial and operational inquiries.
  • Scan, organize, file, and maintain financial and accounting documentation.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing contracts and other business agreements.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and proper document backup for each client.
  • Prepare financial statements, including consolidated reports when required.
  • Perform month-end bookkeeping activities, including bank and credit card reconciliations and financial adjustments.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, collections, and payment processing.
  • Handle Accounts Payable, including entering bills and processing payments.
  • Oversee payroll activities, including running payroll and making necessary corrections.
  • Maintain and update financial data in QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and other accounting systems.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with business owners to identify growth opportunities.
  • Support clients in implementing efficient financial and operational processes.
  • Contribute to strategies aimed at improving profitability and scalability.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online) — no platform training will be provided.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP, as clients are US-based.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple clients.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Prior experience supporting small to mid-sized US businesses or accounting firms.
