Job Description

Pearson sales specialist growing secondary-school qualifications and learning-services revenue across southern England. Building senior stakeholder relationships, acquiring customers, and executing regional growth strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive a growth strategy with subject leaders within schools and multi-academy trusts
  • Lead subject-specific revenue growth and customer acquisition
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support customer acquisition and retention
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities across qualifications and learning services
  • Drive year-on-year growth of qualifications and learning services revenue across the region
  • Develop and implement regional strategies to increase revenue
  • Use and interpret market information to promote revenue growth
  • Use One CRM (Salesforce) to capture interactions and manage pipeline
  • Create, maintain, and manage relationships with future customers and key stakeholders
  • Uncover and develop new customer relationships
  • Provide product expertise in the 11–19 education market
  • Articulate product value, overcome competition, and engage decision-makers
  • Deliver sales presentations to relevant stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Provide market insight to the business and inform regional activity

Requirements:

  • Ability to leverage written and spoken communication to change attitudes or behaviour and achieve specific outcomes
  • Collaborative attitude and behaviour consistent with team and organisational values
  • Strong selling skills, especially managing senior-level relationships in secondary schools and trusts
  • Strong product knowledge across resources and qualifications in the secondary market
  • Objection handling, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to demonstrate, share, and inform best practice
  • Ability to provide key market insight to the business and inform regional activity

  • Field based and willing to travel 80%
  • Full UK driving licence
