Job Description

Field-based Area Manager selling Johnson & Johnson MedTech Impella heart-recovery devices across the Tyler-to-Shreveport territory. Supporting cardiac teams, activating hospitals, and driving clinical adoption and sales growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell the Impella® product line to established customers, including physicians and Heart Teams
  • Identify new physicians and hospitals and lead activation efforts for new centers
  • Create account and territory business plans and build programs
  • Exceed sales targets for the assigned territory
  • Initiate Impella® development activities to increase market awareness
  • Lead clinical teams supporting Impella® adoption in the assigned territory
  • Attend cases and provide comprehensive guidance to physicians and staff on the Impella® product portfolio
  • Develop the market in the territory to help recover hearts and save patients’ lives
  • Partner with a clinical colleague to drive territory growth

Requirements:

  • Area Manager: minimum of 8+ years of sales experience with 5+ years of cardiovascular medical device sales experience
  • Associate Area Manager: minimum of 3+ years of sales experience with 2+ years of cardiovascular medical device sales experience
  • Proven track record of selling into a Cath Lab or surgical suite
  • Proven track record in leading and motivating teams to successfully achieve quotas
  • Strong knowledge of interventional cardiology
  • Direct patient support experience
  • Availability for emergent patient care
  • Ability to drive patient outcomes
  • Ability to travel up to 50% overnight
  • Conduct duties in accordance with all state and federal laws and regulations governing the medical device industry
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or 7 years of cardiology industry experience
  • Experience selling within assigned geography preferred
  • Established relationships/network of Interventional Cardiologists and Cath Lab staff in the posted territory
  • Proven track record of technology adoption and market development
