Job Description
Area Sales Manager driving growth for TOMRA's Recycling business in India. Manage sales processes and cultivate long-term customer relationships in B2B sales.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales activities across the assigned territory in India
- Identify new business opportunities and build strong customer relationships
- Manage the complete sales process from lead generation to closing
- Conduct customer meetings, technical discussions, and solution presentations
- Coordinate and manage RFQ/RFP processes together with internal stakeholders
- Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial agreements, and secure order confirmations
- Maintain and develop a structured sales pipeline in the CRM system
- Represent TOMRA at trade fairs, conferences, and industry events
- Monitor market developments, competitor activities, and customer trends
- Work closely with technical, service, and internal sales teams
Requirements:
- Experience in B2B sales or technical sales within industrial environments
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A structured and independent way of working
- Technical understanding and the ability to explain complex solutions
- Experience managing long sales cycles and customer negotiations
- Confidence working directly with senior customer stakeholders
- Willingness to travel extensively across India
- Professional Engineering or Science degree
- Business fluent English skills
- Experience from the following industries is highly valued: Recycling, Waste processing, Industrial automation, Capital equipment, Materials processing
- Experience with structured CRM systems and industrial solution selling is considered a strong advantage.
