Job Description
Associate Director leading policy research and advocacy efforts at Fòs Feminista. Collaborating with global partners to enhance evidence-based strategies in public health and rights issues.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Fòs Feminista’s policy research and evidence agenda
- Oversee the development and execution of multi-year and annual research priorities
- Support collaboration with Alliance partners to develop transnational technical and policy research
- Research, write, analyse, and support the supervision of Fòs Feminista research outputs
- Lead the dissemination of advocacy knowledge and evidence through various platforms
- Provide technical input into the creation of knowledge products
- Maintain and curate a centralized database of policy research resources
- Coordinate the tracking and reporting on the reach and impact of Fòs Feminista’s policy research
- Serve as the focal point for the Centre for Evidence-Based Advocacy
- Support program strategic development aligned with advocacy goals
- Supervise and provide strategic guidance to advocacy teams
- Support donor relationship management and strategic engagement
Requirements:
- A Master’s degree in public health/public policy
- minimum of 7+ years’ experience in public policy analysis
- Demonstrated track record of working effectively with Diplomatic experience
- Knowledge about the Multi-lateral spaces including the United Nations
- Fluency in English is a must
- Proficiency in Arabic, French, Portuguese, Spanish, or other languages is highly desirable
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated and strong skills in policy analysis and independent thinking
- Ability to organize work, set priorities, manage competing demands, and maintain a positive attitude
- Broad working knowledge of and commitment to women’s and LGBTQI+ rights, social justice, HIV and AIDS, non-discrimination, and human rights
