Job Description
Associate Manager developing global medical communications content for Pfizer’s pharmaceutical business. Creating manuscripts, presentations, digital media, and compliant medical affairs resources.
Responsibilities:
- Develop global medical affairs content with support and supervision, including abstracts, manuscripts, congress posters/presentations, graphical abstracts, systematic literature reviews, plain language summaries, slide decks, medical education resources, social media, infographics, video, multimedia, and other external-facing medical content
- Research, organize, compile, interpret, and quality-check technical and/or medical content
- Provide solutions to stakeholders in alignment with the manager and collaborate with Graphics, Compliance, Statistics, and other teams
- Execute projects within expected timelines while adhering to quality and compliance requirements
- Complete training on relevant tools and processes, including generative AI technology platforms
- Track project progress and resolve issues with guidance from the manager
- Identify and train to become an expert in one new content-creation tool or skill representing current industry trends
Requirements:
- Advanced scientific degree, e.g., MS, MRes, MPharm, PhD, PharmD, MBBS/MD
- 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical medicine, including medical affairs and medical compliance
- Proven ability to take ownership of individual work and align with more experienced colleagues on scope, timelines, and quality expectations
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and credibility with colleagues and external stakeholders cross-culturally and regionally
- Experience in medical content writing, academic writing, or communications within an agency, CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology company
- Effective English verbal and written communication
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Understanding of technology applications in medical content development
