Job Description

Associate Marketing Manager executing Salomon Alpine marketing across Canada. Leading retail activations, ski events, athlete programs, and freeride community partnerships.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute Canadian marketing plans through consumer-facing activations and product launches
  • Support localized Canadian media relationships, product seeding, local content opportunities, and ad placement delivery
  • Monitor and report Canadian market trends, consumer feedback, and competitive landscape
  • Lead trade marketing programs, visual merchandising, window displays, and in-store presence at Canadian retail partners
  • Organize and deliver product and brand training for shop professionals
  • Drive sell-through through localized retail activations and manage shop pro incentive activations
  • Manage and execute the Canadian Rep Rider program with Sales Force leaders
  • Plan and execute resort partnerships, consumer trial initiatives, trade events, consumer activations, and launch events
  • Co-own production and management of the Quality Ski Time Film Tour and other brand-owned North American events
  • Scout and manage Canadian ambassadors, junior athletes, and key opinion leaders, especially within the freeride community
  • Coordinate product distribution, asset collection, and ROI models for local ambassadors
  • Build relationships with local ski clubs, freeride organizations, and regional resorts
  • Communicate product initiatives and launches to athletes and KOLs
  • Facilitate athlete event production and involvement
  • Track and manage local sports marketing and trade marketing budgets
  • Produce reports on brand events, athletes, and ambassadors

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of practical marketing and execution experience within the outdoor, action sports, or Alpine Ski industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, maintain high self-motivation, and remain disciplined in a fully remote, office-free work environment
  • Proven track record of executing marketing plans across retail, events, and community touchpoints
  • Solid understanding of retail marketing and in-store merchandising
  • Ability to conduct professional product training for retail staff
  • Deep personal or professional connection to the Canadian ski community, specifically the freeride scene
  • Ability to identify relevant talent and key opinion leaders
  • Ski tuning and ski mounting experience required
  • Boot fitting experience is a plus
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with ability to manage multiple event timelines and retail activations simultaneously
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to travel regionally for on-snow activations and to support retail partners
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, with or without accommodations
  • Ability to drive and possess a valid state-issued Driver’s License
