Job Description
AWS Solutions Architect focusing on data services for production environments within the pharmaceutical industry. Supporting and troubleshooting data services using AWS technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support AWS-based data architectures for production environments
- Support and troubleshoot production data services, ensuring high availability and performance
- Work with AWS services such as S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift, Glue, EMR, Athena, Kinesis, and Lambda
- Ensure data pipelines and platforms follow AWS best practices for security, scalability, and reliability
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging for data workloads
- Optimize cloud costs related to data storage, processing, and data pipelines
- Collaborate with application, DevOps, and data engineering teams to resolve production issues
- Document architectures, runbooks, and operational procedures
Requirements:
- 10+ years of strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, with a focus on data services
- Experience supporting production data platforms on AWS
- Good understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and streaming concepts
- Knowledge of AWS security best practices, IAM, encryption, and networking fundamentals
- Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and logging solutions
- Experience with real-time or streaming data (Kinesis, Kafka, MSK)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform)
- Experience working in Agile environments
