Job Description
BMS Service Engineer maintaining BMS and control systems for Johnson Controls. Diagnosing faults, commissioning devices, and supporting smarter, sustainable buildings across central Scotland.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on BMS and control systems
- Diagnose faults and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Configure and commission controllers and network-level devices
- Modify software and maintain accurate system documentation
- Produce service reports and recommendations
- Build strong customer relationships and act as a trusted advisor
- Support upgrade and lifecycle projects
- Promote OpenBlue and cloud-connected building technologies
- Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and compliance
- Work as a mobile, field-based engineer predominantly around Glasgow and across the Central Belt of Scotland
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience within BMS, Building Controls or Automation
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience in a customer-facing service environment
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to work independently and participate in an out-of-hours callout rota
- HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (desirable)
- Experience with Johnson Controls Metasys systems (advantageous)
