Job Description
Business Intelligence Analyst building Power BI dashboards, SQL queries, and data models for Experior Financial Group. Transforming financial services data into actionable business insights.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, join, and aggregate data
- Build and maintain data models, including DAX measures and calculated columns
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate reporting needs into data visualizations
- Develop and maintain ETL/data pipelines
- Monitor data quality and troubleshoot discrepancies between source systems and reports
- Document data definitions, report logic, and dashboard usage
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring reports and streamline reporting processes
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI or a comparable BI tool such as Tableau or Looker, including DAX and data modeling
- Strong SQL skills, including complex queries with joins, subqueries, and window functions against relational databases
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices, including star schemas
- Experience with data warehouses and/or ETL tools and processes
- Familiarity with IMO, Insurance Carrier, and/or financial services operations strongly preferred
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Familiarity with Power Query (M language) and Power BI Service administration is an asset
- Exposure to Python or another scripting language for data processing or automation is an asset
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure or Snowflake is an asset
- Must reside and be authorized to work in the USA
