Job Description

Claims Examiner analyzing complex liability claims for Sedgwick, a leader in risk and claims administration. Manage claims with innovative customer-facing solutions and ensure timely resolution.

Responsibilities:

  • To analyze complex or technically difficult general liability claims to determine benefits due.
  • Manage claims through well-developed action plans to an appropriate and timely resolution.
  • Assess liability and resolves claims within evaluation.
  • Negotiate settlement of claims within designated authority.
  • Calculate and assigns timely and appropriate reserves to claims; manages reserve adequacy throughout the life of the claim.
  • Manage the litigation process; ensures timely and cost-effective claims resolution.
  • Communicate claim activity and processing with the claimant and the client; maintains professional client relationships.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • 5 years of Liability claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • NY Adjusters license needed or will be required within 90 days of employment.
  • Home State required and NY preferred or required to obtain within 90 days of employment.
