Job Description
Claims Examiner analyzing complex liability claims for Sedgwick, a leader in risk and claims administration. Manage claims with innovative customer-facing solutions and ensure timely resolution.
Responsibilities:
- To analyze complex or technically difficult general liability claims to determine benefits due.
- Manage claims through well-developed action plans to an appropriate and timely resolution.
- Assess liability and resolves claims within evaluation.
- Negotiate settlement of claims within designated authority.
- Calculate and assigns timely and appropriate reserves to claims; manages reserve adequacy throughout the life of the claim.
- Manage the litigation process; ensures timely and cost-effective claims resolution.
- Communicate claim activity and processing with the claimant and the client; maintains professional client relationships.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- 5 years of Liability claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- NY Adjusters license needed or will be required within 90 days of employment.
- Home State required and NY preferred or required to obtain within 90 days of employment.
