Job Description
Client Development Manager winning pharmaceutical and biotech compliance consultancy engagements for GxPAssure. Managing client accounts, regulatory-trigger leads and referrals across UK and international markets.
Responsibilities:
- Find, qualify and win new clients in pharmaceutical and biotech quality, compliance and regulatory support across the UK, Europe, the USA and Asia
- Work regulatory-trigger leads such as FDA warning letters and Form 483 observations, MHRA inspection findings and EU GMP non-compliance reports
- Lead discovery calls with prospective clients, involve experts in technical scoping, and turn conversations into persuasive proposals at standard rates
- Negotiate scope, price and timing within agreed commercial limits
- Hand agreed proposals to the operations team
- Own client account relationships, including account plans, regular reviews and identifying future needs
- Represent GxPAssure at conferences and industry events
- Build a referral network among quality and regulatory decision-makers
- Keep the sales pipeline current and report on it monthly
- Report directly to the CEO
- Win work and retain clients while consultants deliver the technical work and operations provides support
Requirements:
- A track record of winning and growing B2B professional-services or consulting accounts, with evidence of personal new-business results
- Experience selling into pharmaceutical, biotech, medical-device or adjacent life-sciences organisations, or a demonstrable ability to learn the sector quickly
- A consultative style: comfortable being technically challenged by a quality director and knowing when to bring in the expert
- Excellent written English and the ability to turn a scoping conversation into a persuasive proposal
- Self-directed, organised and disciplined in keeping a pipeline current
- Willing and able to travel, including overseas if required
- Existing relationships with quality, regulatory or supply-chain decision-makers in life sciences (desirable)
- Working knowledge of GMP, GDP and GCP services and the regulatory landscape (FDA, MHRA, EMA, PIC/S) (desirable)
- Experience with prospecting and CRM tools (desirable)
- A degree in life sciences, business or a related discipline (desirable)
Benefits:
- £40,000 basic salary
- 20% share of the net profit on every engagement you introduce — uncapped, calculated engagement by engagement, paid quarterly on cash collected, and running for 24 months from each client's first engagement
- Realistic on-target earnings of £50,000–£55,000 in year one and £80,000 or more from year two as your client base compounds
- 12-month fixed-term contract with the option to convert to a permanent appointment at the 12-month review
