Job Description
Community Engagement Specialist expanding behavioral-health access across North Carolina for Trillium Health Resources. Coordinating community partnerships, outreach, education, and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Support outreach and engagement activities across an assigned region to increase awareness of services and community needs
- Coordinate meetings and activities for advisory groups, councils, and community stakeholders
- Engage with community members and organizations to support outreach and awareness activities
- Educate internal teams and community partners on services and community needs
- Represent the organization at community meetings, events, and engagement activities
- Distribute outreach materials and information to community and faith-based organizations
- Travel within the catchment area as required
Requirements:
- High school Diploma/GED and six (6) years' experience working in the health field with communities and programs; OR Associate's degree in Public Policy, Sociology, Education, Ethnic Studies, Social Justice, Social Work, Public Health, Publication Administration, Psychology, or Human Services and four (4) years' experience working in the health field with communities and programs; OR Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Sociology, Education, Ethnic Studies, Social Justice, Social Work, Public Health, Publication Administration, Psychology, or Human Services and two (2) years' experience working in the health field with communities and programs; OR Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must reside in North Carolina and within Trillium's Catchment area
- Must be able to travel within catchment as required
- Resume must include employer name, dates of service (month/year), average hours worked per week, and essential job duties
- Resume must include education details (degree type, date awarded, institution, field of study)
- Licensure/certification information, if applicable
- All candidates must pass a drug test as a condition of employment
