Job Description
Software Engineering Consultant building Go, React Native, and AWS applications for MojoTech’s consulting clients. Applying AI-native engineering practices across distributed, U.S.-client engagements in Buenos Aires.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, test, and maintain modern applications spanning backend services, mobile applications, and cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and business stakeholders
- Participate in technical discovery, architecture discussions, and solution design
- Develop scalable APIs and backend services, including third-party integrations
- Design and maintain PostgreSQL schemas, including query optimization and migrations
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
- Contribute to code reviews and engineering best practices
- Identify and resolve technical risks and challenges
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
- Continuously learn and contribute to the engineering team’s growth
- Work across varied client engagements, industries, technologies, and teams
- Deliver impactful software solutions for clients
- Within the first year, deliver high-quality software, build client and teammate relationships, demonstrate technical ownership, contribute to engineering excellence, and expand technical and consulting capabilities
Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience with Go (Golang) and/or React Native in production environments, including building and shipping mobile applications, is highly desired
- Strong understanding of AWS services, including Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, and IAM
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and migrations
- Working experience with TypeScript in production environments
- Familiarity with secure API design, OAuth2, JWT, and data protection best practices
- Strong understanding of object-oriented and/or systems-level programming principles and software design patterns
- AI-accelerated code reviews and debugging
- AI-assisted software design and implementation
- Agentic development workflows, including parallelized coding, autonomous task execution, and orchestration
- Prompt engineering for software development and system generation
- Using AI to generate documentation, architecture artifacts, and delivery assets
- Building systems where humans remain accountable for quality and decisions
- Rapid prototyping with structured production hardening
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Professional working proficiency in English, written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed environment
- Must be located in Buenos Aires, Argentina
- Full-time employee position, not a contractor role
- Preferred: RESTful APIs and microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, JavaScript, React, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, observability/monitoring, consulting or agency experience, mentoring, WCAG, regulated environments, AI-enabled applications, machine learning integrations, LLMs, RAG architectures, and open-source or technical publication contributions
