Job Description

Content Specialist creating accessible sales training content for Guild Mortgage Company, a mortgage banking firm. Developing job aids, e-learning, SharePoint resources, and multimedia materials for retail sales teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain engaging, informative, and on-brand retail sales training content
  • Develop new hire training materials, knowledge articles, SharePoint sites and resources, and internal communication content
  • Regularly review and update training materials for campaigns, system enhancements, sales strategies, best practices, and regulatory updates
  • Ensure training materials are accessible through the LMS, SharePoint, and other appropriate channels
  • Collaborate with internal communication specialists to support announcements with job aids, images, and knowledge articles
  • Work with training and marketing subject matter experts to gather content requirements and ensure messaging accuracy
  • Conduct regular reviews and quality checks for accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness
  • Gather feedback from trainers and teammates and integrate improvements into training programs and materials
  • Support the Regional Sales Training Team, Salesforce Consultants, and Elevate Coaching Program
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, Reverse Mortgage, and Joint Venture teams
  • Act independently under general direction and may mentor or guide less experienced professional contributors

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree directly in a relevant field (Communications, Marketing, Education, Instructional Design) or equivalent, required
  • Minimum three years total work experience in positions with responsibility for processing mortgage foreclosures associated documents and timelines
  • Minimum two years' experience in the mortgage industry
  • Minimum three years' experience in content creation or training/education related role
  • Proven experience in content development and instructional design, preferably in the mortgage or financial services industry
  • Strong writing, editing, and visual design skills
  • Experience with video editing and ADA standards preferred
  • Proficiency in content authoring tools, learning management systems, and multimedia software
  • Proficiency with data entry, PDF software programs, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software applications required
  • Ability to learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, and make timely decisions
  • Ability to adhere to process protocol and apply established protocols in a timely manner
  • Ability to work primarily Monday–Friday during the business week
  • Ability to travel 20–50%
  • Work is primarily sedentary with frequent use of a computer keyboard and mouse
  • Ability to accurately interpret audio and visual information in an office environment
