Job Description
Digital Sales Representative advancing Intuitive Surgical's AI-powered robotic-surgery software adoption. Driving healthcare sales, customer training, and digital solution utilization across assigned accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute territory plans to drive awareness, adoption, utilization, and growth of Intuitive's digital portfolio
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales, adoption, and utilization objectives
- Maintain a pipeline of opportunities and manage all stages of the sales process
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts
- Consult with surgeons, hospital leadership, clinical teams, and administrators to understand needs and align digital solutions with clinical and operational goals
- Serve as a trusted advisor and primary digital-solutions resource for assigned accounts
- Collaborate with Key Account Managers, Clinical Territory Associates, Capital Sales teams, and Digital Networking teams on account strategies and digital sales opportunities
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Management, Clinical, Engineering, and Operations teams
- Drive product utilization through customer education, onboarding, and training
- Ensure surgeons are trained and equipped to access and use digital solutions
- Build relationships with surgeon thought leaders and KOLs to expand awareness and advocacy
- Support regional and national marketing initiatives, trade shows, customer events, and educational programs
- Help surgeons and healthcare systems use digital technologies to improve training, collaboration, performance, and patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the medical field
- Proven experience with cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to communicate and present ideas clearly to internal teams and customer-facing stakeholders, including surgeons, nurse managers, and hospital C-suite leadership
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently remotely with some in-person sales activities
- Self-led with ability to navigate complex sales scenarios
- Great time management and detailed organization approach in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree required
- Able to travel up to 50%, including some short-notice travel
- Able to enter surgical and other patient care areas
- Understands the basics of HL7, PACS, DICOM, and EPIC interfaces (preferred)
- Experience working in hospital operating room environments preferred
- Experience in training physicians preferred
- May be subject to current proof of vaccination against certain diseases, including COVID-19
- Candidates may be subject to U.S. export-control licensing or a Technology Control Plan, where applicable
Benefits:
- Total target compensation listed as USD 172,943 for Region 1 and USD 163,000 for Region 2 (OTE, not base salary)
